XPERIA "charging case" PORTABLE 100% WORKING CONCEPT
*method applicable to any gadgets*
THIS IS A WORKING CONCEPT OF MY XPERIA ZR PORTABLE WIRELESS CHARGER THAT DOESNT USE THE USB CHARGING PINS OF YOUR XPERIA ZR PHONES
*DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK*
AND THIS IS ALSO NOT USED TO TRANSFER DATA FILES

So how i come up with this idea?
I was using my phone and of course, the phone is waterproof. So i wanted the covers of the sockets to last longer. The charging socket is almost used everyday and i wanted not to use it. Our phone (Sony Xperia ZR) has a dock charging plates on the left side and the available charger that uses this dock charging plates was this "Dock Charger"
So the problem is, i cannot use this dock charger while inside my bag, pocket of my shorts, pouch, or anything alike that has tight areas and i also want my charger not to accidentally disconnected to my phone while charging. So what I want is a charger that uses the dock charging pins of the phone (aside from the concept of using the usb of the phone just like the ones on iphone and their powerjacket) and i come up with this features.
- charges the phone using dock charging plates only (so no need to remove the cover of the phones USB while connecting to the charger. For other phones, you can use the USB of the phone instead)
- acts also as the case of the phone while stored on tight areas (prevents the theory of the phone being slightly bended while on tight areas such as the side pocket of pants)
- USB connected so the charging case can be connected to any power banks, wall chargers, or pc unlike this power jacket that you need to charge when empty (of course!)
So what do you need
-ANY Thick plastic (ranges from 3mm thick up) (i usually use chopping boards as raw materials)
-Lots of glue (glue sticks, mighty bond, plastic epoxy, etc.)
-Soldering iron
-Soldering paste
-Soldering lead
-USB from old computer parts (mouse, keyboard, etc)
-Old universal battery charger
THERE ARE TYPES OF BATTERY CHARGERS THAT YOU EASILY FIND ON PHILIPPINE MARKET. It can be on any brand. YOU CAN DISASSEMBLE AND USE ITS BATTERY CHARGING PINS SO YOU DONT NEED TO FABRICATE THE CHARGING PIN PART (BECAUSE I DO FABRICATE IT)

I recommend to use the pins on the white charger (it was a spring loaded retractable pin). But on what i did, i made a pin similar on the pins used on the black charger. (PHOTO CREDIT TO OWNER)
PREVIEW
First, build the case by using your plastics. The dimensions are on the picture below (for xperia ZR phones only. for other phones, you need to locate the charging pins OR USB SOCKET by measuring its location based on your phone.)
ALL DIMENSIONS ARE IN MILLIMETER
Dimensions on the red box is the part that is important for your phone. If it is too tight, you can use sand paper on the surfaces that will surround the phone.
Dimensions with red arrows are dimensions for the button reliefs that you need so the case will not block your phone due to the buttons embossed will collide with the walls of the chargers. but you can cut this through so you dont need to drill holes in it.

Dimensions on blue arrow is the dimension for the width of the container for the wires and charging pins.
Dimensions on the blue box is the dimension for the charging pin holes. R1 is noted as Radius dimension 1.5mm to 2mm.
If you are going to use the pins that is used on the white universal battery charger (on the top), you can use a 3mm x 3mm square (with minor adjustments) hole to fit the charging pins of the white charger. you need glue to attach the charging pins. the best glue for the job is plastic epoxy or quick dry glue such as mighty bond. you can also use glue sticks which is very cheap.
ON INSTALLING CHARGING PINS (LIKE ON THE BLACK CHARGER) YOU NEED A DISTANCE FROM THE HOLE TO THE GLUE AREA SO THAT THE PLATES MAY HAVE SPRING BACK ACTION ( IT NEEDS TO MOVE LIKE A LEAF SPRING TO BE ABLE TO RESIST DEFORMATION) IF NOT YOU MAY DAMAGE YOUR PHONE.
OUTSIDE DIMENSIONS WERE NOT IMPORTANT AS I AM NOT GIVING IMPORTANCE TO THE THICKNESS OF THE MATERIAL THAT YOU CAN USE. (WHAT I USE HERE IS 3mm TO 4mm THICK PLASTIC CHOPPING BOARD

AND FOR THE ELECTRONICS
FOR XPERIA ZR, the charging pin located on the upper part (on red arrow) is the +5v of the usb. And on the lower part (on black arrow) is the ground. solder the pins carefully using your soldering iron, paste, and lead to the wires of the usb terminals
these cables usually uses red and black to indicate the 5v and the ground wire. (photo credit to owner)

install the cover and drill holes on the case for the screws. you can use small screws that you can scavenge on computers, chargers, etc. just size the hole on actual.
AND ON CHARGING YOUR PHONE USING THIS CHARGING PINS, YOU NEED TO CHARGE IT USING ONLY CHARGERS BELOW 2 AMPERES OR ANY AMPERE RATING THAT IS APPLICABLE ON YOUR PHONE (BECAUSE NOT ALL PHONES ARE SIMILAR IN TERMS OF CHARGING CAPACITY WHEN USING THESE DOCK CHARGING PLATES)

On this XPERIA Z case charger, Instead of making a plastic case to house the phones and the wires, I use the case that you can easily found on the market and modify it to house the charging pins. Methods is similar to what i discussed earlier.
*edit*
someone asked me why i did not make the xperia z case plastic just like the xperia ZR case, the answer is i get lazy sometimes.
