ldn racing r90
This is one of my R&D projects for myself. I made this because i wanted to have a car racing game controller for playing racing games.
I made this during my college days and that time, i cant afford to buy a gaming wheel which is closer to a car's control and also i saw the controllers that you can buy on the market. Those controllers were good but i saw a drawback on it. What i dislike is its button panel was very near the shifters. And i also want to have a controller to which it will adapt a racecar type design on its positions for the control panel and shifters plus a low steering ratio so i can steer it with ease.
So from that inputs, i decided to design the controller myself which will cost me less than a market wheel and follows my concept.
I used simple materials such as micro switches, PTM switches, potentiometers, IC's which will mime the controls for a game controller.
and after several designing, trials and errors, i finally come up with the working prototype which is based from my 3rd design.
I am using it for 2 years now.
I am going to add some features to it and also build the cockpit specially designed for it when i got a free time.
You can see the design of the cockpit and some videos below.
Updates will be posted soon.
